One of the singer/songwriters I find to be a most inspiring lyricist is Ellis Paul. With the release of his new album, The Day After Everything Changed, Paul is sending out “Musings” about his process through his email newsletter and on his website. They answer many of the questions I’m asking about writers thinking, arrangement, inspiration, and the like. Well worth a read, even if you haven’t heard his music.
